The proposed public centre in Klaipėda District is conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional farmstead of Lithuania Minor. The architectural concept draws on the region's traditional courtyard structure, where individual buildings are arranged around a shared space that forms the setting for everyday life. This principle is reinterpreted as a community and public services centre, bringing different functions together within a cohesive, human-scale complex. The building is divided into several volumes according to function, maintaining an intimate scale, clear circulation, and appropriate levels of privacy. More public spaces face the central courtyard, while quieter and more confidential functions are positioned further away. The courtyard becomes the heart of the project — a place for community gatherings, waiting, activities, and everyday encounters. The architectural expression is restrained, defined by hipped-roof volumes, natural materials, and a colour palette characteristic of the region. The result is a contemporary architecture rooted in local identity, bringing healthcare, community services, and everyday life together into a vibrant whole.
